Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need to be formally diagnosed to attend the clinic?
No. A formal diagnosis is not required. The clinic begins with a structured reading assessment that helps identify your child’s current reading strengths and areas of difficulty. This assessment guides recommendations and support.

What happens after the reading assessment?
After the assessment, parents receive clear feedback and guidance. If the clinic is suitable for your child, they may proceed into the 8-week Reading Intervention Clinic. If another form of support is more appropriate, this will be discussed openly.

Is the clinic suitable for children who are shy or lack confidence?
Yes. Many students attending the clinic have experienced frustration or reduced confidence around reading. Sessions are structured, calm, and supportive, with an emphasis on building skill gradually and restoring confidence over time.

Are sessions delivered in groups or individually?
Support may be delivered in small groups or individually, depending on what the assessment indicates is most appropriate for your child. Placement is always guided by assessed need.

How do I get started?
The first step is to book a Reading Diagnostic Assessment.
This allows us to understand your child’s needs clearly and advise on the most suitable next steps.
