Reading Diagnostic & Intervention Clinic
Because reading difficulties do not disappear on their own.
Many children struggle quietly with reading. They try. They memorise. They guess. From the outside, it can look like they are coping.
But reading gaps compound quickly. Without early, targeted support, children fall further behind each year, until academic demands exceed what they can manage. By then, confidence is already damaged and frustration has set in.
At Think-Top Educational Institute, our Reading Clinic begins with a structured diagnostic assessment to understand exactly how your child reads, where the gaps are, and what support is realistically needed.
Assessment comes first.
Only after assessment do students move into our 8-week Reading Intervention Clinic, where instruction is deliberate, structured, and matched to the child’s actual reading level.

My name is Krys-Darcelle Dumas.
As the founder and lead educator at Think-Top Tutors, I believe that great teaching begins with a clear purpose: to develop thinkers, not just test-takers. While my own background is in English Language, Literature, and Linguistics, our teaching philosophy reflects the collective expertise of a team deeply committed to academic excellence, skill-building, and critical thought across disciplines.
We see each subject, whether it's Mathematics, English, Creative Writing, Reading and Comprehension, Information Technology, or Literature, as a tool for shaping how students understand the world and express themselves within it.

About the Founder
Krys-Darcelle Dumas is a Ministry of Education secondary school teacher in Trinidad and Tobago, a former University of the West Indies lecturer, and the founder of Think-Top Educational Institute.
She began Think-Top in 2011 at her kitchen table, working with students who had failed CSEC English multiple times and did not understand why. Over more than a decade, she has helped students across Trinidad, the wider Caribbean, and internationally move from frustration and failure to consistent, measurable results.
Her approach is built on one principle: children do not fail because they cannot learn. They fail because the instruction was not matched to where they actually are. Think-Top exists to change that.
